Before migrating your projects to Paratext 8, first browse the available text resources using File > Download/Install Resources and check whether your team’s preferred resource texts are available in Paratext 8.
If you think a resource text is missing from Paratext 8, you can fill out the Resource Request Form.
There is an ongoing effort to make as many text resources available in Paratext 8 as possible. The environment of digital publishing has changed a great deal since Paratext resource text licensing agreements were first drawn up. There are also many more Paratext users from diverse organisations (or no organisation) than before. Because of this, copyright holders are drawing up new licences which are suitable for this new environment.
This issue only affects the Paratext Live collaborative editing tool. The current Paratext 8 release does not support the use of Keyman 9 while Paratext Live is running. Keyman 8 works with Paratext 8.
This problem will be fixed in Paratext around the end of April or start of May 2017. In the meantime, if you use both Keyman 9 and Paratext Live, you may wish to wait before upgrading to Paratext 8.
