If you experience difficulties with Paratext, there are several ways to find help.
The Paratext Help system is quite comprehensive. It is best to try searching through Help for answers before looking elsewhere.
Use the Help menu or the Help search box to search for a help topic.
There is no public phone number or public email address for requesting official support, but Paratext does have an excellent community support system that you are encouraged to visit first if you need help. It is found at https://support.paratext.org
You will need to sign up for an account. If you would like to receive notifications for every post, similar to the former ptsupporters mailing list, it is possible to do this on the new support site. You will have to click the “Sign Up” icon in the top right of the supporters site, and then click on the gear icon to modify your account preferences. There is an option to enable Mailing list mode if that is what you prefer.
The benefit of the web based list is that all the answers to previous questions are easily searchable, so you may find that your question is answered before you even ask!
Report a problem
The Paratext Help menu has a built-in feature which is the best way to “Report a problem” that you are experiencing. Using this feature will share important information with the support team such as which version of Paratext you are using, and on which version of your operating system. This makes it easier to pinpoint and fix the problem.
Make a suggestion
The Paratext Help menu has a “Make a Suggestion” option which will tell you how to suggest improvements to Paratext.
